Thank you very much for having acquired a JN handmade knife. Be sure that you are holding a unique handmade item of high quality and aesthetics in your hands, made from selected materials of very high endurance to time and use. To safely and effectively enjoy your new JN handmade knife for as long as possible, please follow these important tips below.

1) Never leave your knife contaminated with food residues or other edible contaminants. Unwholesome germs may reproduce on it. Always clean it after each use.

2) Never wash your knife with chemical cleaners or very hot water. Never wash it in the dishwasher. Always clean its steel blade with lukewarm water and preferably green soap. Avoid washing or rubbing the handle intensively, preferably wipe it using a damp cloth with a little soapy water, and then wipe it with a dry towel.

3) If your knife is not stainless, you should dry it immediately after being exposed to moisture or water and coat it with some kind of edible oil, preferably sunflower oil, to prevent it from rusting. Moreover, do not store your non stainless knife in its leather sheath for long periods during winter time because genuine leather tends to absorb and hold moisture, which passes to the blade and rusts it.

4) Never store your knife in a humid environment. Even stainless-steel knives can be oxidized to some extent if left in a humid environment for a long time.

5) Always keep your knife well sharpened. Never sharpen your knife with cheap sharpening wheels or low-grade sharpening stones, and never rub it with any sandpaper to polish it. You will destroy the blade. Better use high quality sharpening stones or give it to a professional sharpener to do the job.

6) Do not attempt to repair your knife yourself in case of damage, instead, contact us as soon as possible and we will undertake its repair.

7) Do not under any circumstances bring this knife into contact with electricity, there is a high risk of serious injury or even death.

8) Keep in mind that this knife is designed exclusively for specific, legitimate use of cutting and / or punching. Any other illegal use should be avoided as it can cause serious injury or even death.
